Nigger - What to DO when You Are Called One

Observed Phenomenon:

Non-white people get angry when they are called nigger by white people.

Hypothesis:

To minimize the emotional connection to the word nigger when you are called nigger by a white person, if you are a non-white person, ask questions.

Experiment:

Ask only the following following questions if you are a non-white person and you are being called nigger by a white person:

(1) What is a nigger?
(2) Why are you calling me a nigger?
(3) What do you think should be done with a nigger?

Recording Data:

Use whatever recording device you can such as pencil and paper, audio recorder, video recorder, memory, etc., to make sure the interactions between people are recorded.

Expected Results:

(1) The white person may tell you what they should be done with a nigger but they will not do it.
(2) The non-white person will have less anxiety when focusing on the questions to ask.
