A non-white person = - white person = black person, is a victim of Racism (White Supremacy).
What about you is black? Certainly not your skin. What about the Ruspects are white? Certainly not their skin. Your classification, whatever word used to describe it, was not given to "uplift" you. The classification was made precisely to mistreat you. So, you want a word that designates this category of mistreatment but makes you feel better about it? Well, I don't.
I am a n-i-g-g-e-r. According to whom? According to the persons who have the ability to make it stick: The Racists (White Supreme-acists). I didn't give them the power. They have the power. They are the White SUPREME-ACISTS. I am not a "nigguh." I want that "R" to roll. n-i-g-g-e-R. I don't want to take the edge off the word that most starkly confronts me with my condition and, therefore, my work of replacing white supremacy with justice. I don't want anything to make me more comfortable about being the victim of this unjust system. I want OUT!
Saying I'm not a prisoner and "I'm not giving the guards the power to make me a prsioner" when I'm behind bars is just fine with the guards because I am defintiely not going to be able to think constructively about getting out of the prison that way.
But, I'm a nigger. So, all of the above could be incorrect. Hey, and DMoor, big ups for posting cuz most of the people who visit this site just lurk. |

I'm a nigger, and I got sense enough to know it.
Common says' it best when he says, "I guess knowing I'm weak is when I'm really being strong"...
To say your a nigger isn't to say your weak. All your really saying is that you realize your limitations...
Which is, Following The Logic, whatever White people who practice racism/white supremacy choose to subject you to.
Their is a certain level of power with knowing this, but you have to see it for yourself.
I choose to say that there is something to functioning as Nigger who is aware that he/she is a nigger.
I've noticed that admitting that you are a Nigger to white people makes them very uncomfortable.
Following The Logic, I must suspect the reason is because we are in a system of racism/white supremacy...And the people who classify themselves as 'white' are aware of that.
why else call your self 'white'?
Paul Mooney suggests saying Nigger 30 times a day in the mirror to keep your teeth white.
I suggest just admitting your a Nigger to white people to fast forward things.
Replacing white supremacy with Justice ain't gonna be no cake-walk.
It's gonna hurt.
It's going to demand that victims are comfortable, being UN-comfortable. I suspect this occurs as an effect of DE-Niggerizeing yourself.
I've had to become accustomed to that feeling over time.

Me too.
Following counter racist logic I suspect their discomfort comes not from me FUNTIONING as a nigger; but from my knowledge that I am one and do function as one.
Why do White people get upset when a nigger knows he is a nigger?
I don't know but I suspect their discomfort betrays what they FEAR a nigger might DO about being a nigger.

Hi guys,
I was traveling for the past 12 days. thanks for all the replys and posts. Just got back in. I haven't been to Europe since 1992. I had the interesting experience of realizing that they play rap songs all over the world without ever censoring any of the words. "Bitch", "Ho", and yes,this boards personal favourite, "Nigger"(the rest of the world does not differentiate between "nigger" and "nigga") are played on the radios around the world. In Germany I observed a young 11 year old girl who spoke very little English but yet she could mouth the words to "Window Shopper" .
50 cents may be a counter-racist for all I know.(tongue firmly in cheek).
I will give a more detailed reply soon. I am extremely sleep deprived and still have to unpack. Again thanks for the posts.

This ain't no organization of non-white people. Non-white people can't organize against a SYSTEM of racism (white supremacy). The best non-white people can do is unify against racism (white supremacy)...and unify as individual people following a code of the best things to say and the best things to do to replace racism (white supremacy) with justice. When you or anyone else comes to this website you are looking at individual people who have decided to use speech and/or action to come up with the best thing to say and/or the best thing to do to replace racism (white supremacy) with justice.
When non-white people, as individuals, follow a code for the use of speech and/or action in the best possible way to replace racism (white supremacy) with justice it looks like an organization...it looks like the people are saying and/or doing the same things but that is because those individual people are following a code...that is the function of a code...to organize speech and/or action toward people not being mistreated and for the people who need help the most get the most help. Whether that code is an electrical code (keeps people from being electrocuted and keep people's house or building from burning down), fire code (keeps people from being burned and helps to prevent buildings from burning down), plumbing code (keeps people from using products that may cause extensive water damage and thereby people spending a lot of money...
...and a counter-racism code, which keeps people from being mistreated and helps the people who need help the most get the most help. The only way this can be done and be done forever is for people as individuals to do it.
As for the word nigger...it is just a word...a way of saying the white people who practice racism (white supremacy) are mistreating me...preventing me from maximally developing...preventing me from not only, at times, being able to feed, clothe, and house myself but also everyone else that needs it, preventing me from being able to help the people who need help the most...niggerizing me. Whatever word or words you decide to use to describe this phenomenon...this unjust POWER dynamic...it has to describe it as a POWER relationship or you will be way off the mark. All I am talking about is a POWER relationship and use words to describe it as such. Me being a nigger is not an indictment of me, it is a description of me because of what is being done to me. I am only a nigger to the degree that white people practice racism (white supremacy).
Sooner or later we will have to begin to master words and not allow words to master us.

Non-white people should get to the point where we master words and not allow words to master us.
Reason/Explanation:
This is one of the ways the white people who practice racism (white supremacy) maintain their POWER over us. They use words that have incorrect definitions, words that have no definitions, and words that have definitions that can be changed even as a conversation progresses.
One of the words white people who practice racism (white supremacy) uses to get the people they classify as non-white to react to is the word nigger. A word is just a sound plus a design (letters).
A nigger is a non-white person that is subject to racism (white supremacy).
The word nigger defined in this manner is not an indictment of the non-white person, it is a description of the non-white person because of what is being done against the non-white person. This use of the word nigger is an indictment of any white person that is a racist suspect. A non-white person is taken, under the SYSTEM of racism (white supremacy) through a process of niggerization. The niggerization process occurs any non-white person is mistreated under the SYSTEM of racism (white supremacy) and does more and more harm to each non-white person the more the racists (white supremacists) refine their technique of practicing racism (white supremacy). To end the process of niggerization, the non-white person has to replace racism (white supremacy) with justice, and that is the process of de-niggerization.
This use of the word nigger puts the blame on the white people who practice racism (white supremacy) and at the same time points to the effect of the SYSTEM of racism (white supremacy) on people classified as non-white by white people. Overall View (SYSTEM of racism white supremacy) and Detailed Veiw (white people who practice racism white supremacy) at the same time.

A story:

Okay here goes.
In the 1970's A.D. (74-75) (as I am unfamiliar with the few non white-supremacist calenders which many people seem to be using currently) a young man from Miami, FL US (Turtle Island) and went on the yearly family visiting trip to Philadelphia, PA. US (Turtle Island) (Let's refer to him as 'ChuChu': a nickname). Well,one evening during the yearly few-week/month summer trip the young man (5 yrs. or so) transmitted to his cousin 'Bubba' (nic-name with ancient etymology) a term 'Yodad' then used by the young man and his friends in N.W. Miami FL US (Turtle Island)... Being fond of altering and toying with words of the spoken English language, the young man and his friends took to reversing and or re-ordering the syllables of known words. 'Daddyo' happened to be, at the time, one of the most used, altered words; then spoken as 'YoDad' in parting and meeting much as the Hawaiian term 'Aloha'. Upon using the altered term 'YoDad' to his cousin 'Bubba' (another nick-name) as a parting statement at a west Philadelphia location (Mervine Street was the name if I'm corrent) and mis-interpreted (mis-heard), the young man was unwilling to correct his older cousin who returned a statement along the lines of 'YO? is that what 'dem boys say in Miami!? Man I'm gon' use that!'... What followed(s) is assigned to actual history. Search records for any usage of the term you within africentrically affected colloquilism of anglo language prior to this aproximate time. To date, \"everyone\" uses the term and usually without a 'lick' of etymological investigation.
A purposeful etymologically based destigmatic engineering of words using this type of propagation is what I would suggest.
Ex. Nigger is a result of inadvertent and purposeful perversion of the word-sound that was originally a reference to divine spiritual beings and NaTuRe; NeTeRu (NTR)
