Emotion: Pronunciation Key
Energy expressed as thoughts and feelings.

To Feel- The ability to process energy. This is done through a physical mechanism called a body.

Now, what is ENERGY?

Good question. Short answer: I'm not sure, but I will munch on it a bit. Words cannot always describe things we experience in this reality.

I 100% agree, but I think and could be in-correct that the words that we describe "is" experienced in this reality... otherwise it doesn't exist.

How about...

Feelings - the ability to percieve (think).

and

Emotion - expressed feelings.

Save your "Energy" for the next thread!

I think Karim and I are on the same "wavelength" on this one.

The purpose of words is to describe reality...including what we are thinking.

Good question.

I don't know what it is exactly.

Give me some time to think about it and get back to you.

I think a person thinks first and then the feelings come afterwards. At least, that how it works for me. I could be incorrect. Why? What are you getting at?

Trina

In thinking about it...if emotions are the result of thoughts...perhaps the definition of emotions should reveal this in some way...perhaps.

I've always thought of emotions as an unplanned reaction.

With people, I suspect that first there is stimulus then comes the response. Stimulus being a cause, and the response being the effect.

However, as a result of the victimization process, many victims (myself included) do not take advantage of the space or break between the stimulus and the response.

I suspect that the space between a stimulus and the response is where people have the God given ability of choice. I suspect that the ability to THINK before you respond is what it is to be alive.

However, I suspect that a responses to stimulus without thought is what many of us refer to as "programming"

This is the basic difference between a person and a machine: choice

Following Logic, if you are not willfully choosing your own personal reactions to stimulous, who is?

I also suspect that the space between stimulus and response is where following the logic should be taking place.

I remember something Steven R. Covey said in the 7 Habits of highly effective families book (paraphrasing): reacting without thought (choice) is the difference between living and being lived.

Keep in mind that I could be incorrect.

I don't know but I suspect that there is never a time when a person is not following logic. Emotion and Logic.
