I asked a question not long ago to someone using the term "non-white non-black woman of color"...I asked what is that? The non-white female I asked it to told me I should know.

Where does all this kind of language come from? If the person is non-white does one need to also say that the person is a "person of color"? And why add "non-black"?

That's interesting. It's like she has a different understanding in her mind for what a "black person" is versus a "person of color". It's similar to people who use the term "black and brown people" when all so-called black people are brown skinned. Lack of understanding of how words work, I suspect is where it comes from.

You could be correct about that. I view it as short-sightedness. When non-white people focus on ending the worldwide system of racism (white supremacy) without replacing it with a worldwide system of justice. When doing so, being black or non-black or half black or a quarter white or two thirds Indian, etc. will mean something. But in a worldwide system of justice being black won't mean a thing because all people will be universal people.

The use of words is very important. It not only expresses your current views. It also guides you toward your future position.

Do you think this is plausible?

What I don't think many people realize is that Counter-Racism language is a language just like the Japanese language or the Mandarin language or any other language. It looks like the English language but when you use it correctly white people will tell you that what you are saying is not English. I have been told that by white people when only using the terms "racism" and "white supremacy" together (racism white supremacy). And when told that it is not English the white people also told me to stop saying that. In essence the preciseness of the use of Counter-Racism language taking its toll on the deception.

Have you experienced this?
