I was listening to a presentation in rotation on the Counter-Racism Radio Network and Josh Wickett said something about white people having an identity that is not geographically based.

Has anyone ever thought about black people being able to go all over the universe and wherever they went they were known as "black people" or some other name?

I think the idea of black people having a universal identity could be a good or bad thing depending on how black people currently function as a collective. Unfortunately, under the current system of Racism/White Supremacy, black people are "subject people" wherever they happen to be. If having a universal identity of being victims of Racism could somehow accelerate the process of producing Justice, then I suspect that having something like that could be of constructive use.

I think I understand what you're saying and you're absolutely right...if there is such a thing as absolution. While subject to the system of racism (white supremacy) it doesn't matter where a non-white person goes they are still subject to that system. Not sure if there is any power associated with that. There is, however, a certain powerlessness associated with it.

In addition, if or when the system of racism (white supremacy) is replaced with a system of justice the term "non-white" or even "white" will not exist in reference to people, since all people will be "universal people".
